Geek - noun (slang) 

1) A carnival performer whose act is usually meant to elicit shock (as in biting the head off of a live chicken or a snake).  

2) Any person whose actions cause him to retreat into a subculture of the same ilk, and does not conform with the norm of society.

Please note that not all geeks are of the pencil-necked, language programming kind, although this comprises a vast majority of them today. This site will attempt to bring you the entire strata of geekdom, from A to Z.

Let's face it, we are all geeks in one way or another. Some of us are obvious, some are not. If you are a recipient of the GotW award and are offended, get over it.
